2003 Sharpe Wailea Trip# 26 & 39

The 2003 Sharpe Wailea is a 74-foot aluminum houseboat built for Lake Powell entertaining and extended family cruising. Twin Mercury V6 and V8 engines with Bravo II outdrives power the boat, backed by a newly replaced 15 kW Kohler generator and a 500-gallon fuel capacity. The hull and systems are mechanically sound and well maintained.

The interior centers on an exceptionally large main salon with a new sectional sleeper sofa, new carpet and flooring throughout, and central air conditioning. Four private bedrooms with queen beds, two full bathrooms with new toilets, and additional sleeping in the main salon accommodate groups comfortably. The galley is outfitted for entertaining with seating for twelve, dual 18-cubic-foot refrigerators, a dishwasher, trash compactor, and a full-size washer and dryer. Entertainment includes a 36-inch flat-screen TV, satellite TV and XM radio, Dolby surround sound with isolated speaker zones, and a 10-CD changer; the master bedroom has its own TV and DVD player.

Outdoor living spaces define the boat. The front deck features hot and cold water on demand with a dining table and swim lights. The upper deck has a full bar with refrigerator, new bar stools, a Weber Platinum stainless steel grill with side burners, sun recliners, and rope lighting. The aft deck includes a swim platform and water slide. Ceiling fans and stereo speakers extend throughout the outdoor areas.

Recent improvements include new carpet, flooring, generator, top deck coating, Weber grill, and outdoor carpet. The boat carries two 17-gallon water heaters, a 240-gallon waste tank, UV water purification, and a windlass anchoring system.
