The 2003 Strike 31 Open is a 31-foot center console built on a fiberglass hull with a 9-foot 4-inch beam. Twin Yanmar 6LY2M diesel engines produce 420 horsepower each and deliver a cruising speed of 26 knots with a top speed of 39 knots. The boat carries a 180-gallon center-set fuel tank and includes an electric windlass for anchoring.
The open layout is designed for fishing, with an aluminum outrigger setup, bait well, and insulated fish box equipped with a macerator pump. The boat has one cabin and one head for basic accommodation. A full suite of electronics includes Garmin radar, depth finder, and VHF radio, plus a JBL sound system.
The boat underwent significant upgrades in 2024. New turbos, heat exchangers, and fuel pumps were installed on the engines. The hull was refinished in metallic blue with a white superstructure. Upholstery was replaced throughout, and a boat cover was added. The boat also features 30-amp shore power and a battery charger.
