The 2003 Taswell 58 is a raised-saloon cutter designed by Bill Dixon and built by Ta Shing in Taiwan. This 58-foot offshore cruiser combines a robust fiberglass hull with a practical deck-saloon layout that prioritizes natural light and visibility without compromising seaworthiness. Powered by a Yanmar 160 hp diesel engine with 5,125 hours, the yacht handles both extended passages and living at anchor with equal capability.
The interior spans three cabins and two heads, organized around a large navigation station and deep galley. The aft master stateroom is private, and the raised saloon creates an open, bright main living space suited to extended time aboard. A Northern Lights 9 kW generator supports the substantial systems throughout.
Recent upgrades include standing rigging replaced in 2021, a new Quantum mainsail in 2024, and all hatches and portlights pulled and re-bedded in 2023. The navigation suite features Raymarine Axiom displays at the helm and nav station, along with radar and AIS. A 2022 bow thruster, Max-Prop, Victron inverter and solar charging system, three-zone air conditioning, and watermaker round out the core equipment. A complete cockpit enclosure with dodger and bimini offer weather protection.
An AB center-console tender with 40 hp Honda outboard is included.
