The Elliott 57 is a pure carbon racing yacht designed by Greg Elliott and built by Knierim in Germany. This 2011 model is engineered for line honours in major offshore racing events while remaining capable of being sailed by a small crew. The hull employs full carbon sandwich construction and weighs approximately 11,000 kilograms, with a canting keel fitted with a 4,000-kilogram lead torpedo bulb. A carbon retractable canard daggerboard and carbon rudder complete the appendage package. The rig is a Southern Spars carbon system with carbon standing rigging, managed through full push-button hydraulics and powered winches that handle all sail control duties.
Below deck, the boat accommodates up to eight berths across three cabins, with a full saloon, galley, and electric heads. The interior is properly appointed for extended cruising despite the yacht's racing focus. Power comes from a Volvo Penta engine, with onboard systems including a Fischer Panda 8-kilowatt-hour generator, 8-kilowatt inverter, and 24-volt DC electronics.
The sail inventory consists of new Doyle Sails delivered in 2024: mainsail, J2, J3/4, A2, A3, and J0 flying headsail, all in Titanium or Superkote cloth. A 4-ton KZ furling unit handles the headsails. Additional equipment includes a retractable bowsprit, Harken hydraulic winches, and hydraulic systems for mainsheet, traveller, backstay, outhaul, cutter-stay tension, keel, and canard control.
The boat has been professionally maintained since launch and is presented in good condition throughout.
