The 2003 Tiara 4000 Express is a 40-foot fiberglass express cruiser built for smooth, stable cruising. Powered by twin Cummins diesel engines producing 900 horsepower, it combines reliable performance with Tiara's established reputation for solid construction and seaworthiness.
The cockpit is arranged for entertaining, with an electric double-wide helm seat, companion seating, and two lounges. A molded fiberglass table serves as dining surface, sun pad, and storage — it flushes into the cockpit sole when stowed. Access to the engine room is straightforward via the aft lounge or hydraulic-powered hatch. Below deck, the layout accommodates six with a spacious starboard lounge and dining table that converts to a two-person berth, a queen-berth master stateroom, and a separate enclosed head. The galley is fitted with Corian quartz countertops and standard cooking appliances.
Recent upgrades include a Garmin 12-inch navigation system with full GPS installed in 2022, new hot water heater, new stainless-steel refrigerator and ice maker, replaced waste tank, rebuilt Onan generator, new bow thruster installed in 2023, and exterior seat reupholstery. In 2024 the motors received new hoses, gaskets, and lines, and the hull received fresh bottom paint.
