2008 Formula 40 Performance Cruiser

The 2008 Formula 40 Performance Cruiser is a midcabin express cruiser powered by twin Volvo IPS 500 diesel engines with joystick control. The boat features a hardtop with full camper enclosure and spacious cockpit with seating for six to eight adults. At 40 feet with a 12-foot-7-inch beam, the hull is constructed of fiberglass.

Below deck, the master stateroom is forward with a centerline queen berth, high-gloss wood cabinetry, privacy doors, flatscreen TV with DVD, and air-conditioning. The master head includes a vacuflush toilet, separate shower stall, Corian vanity, and macerator pump-out system. The salon features a curved dinette to starboard with ultra-leather upholstery and convertible seating, plus a fully equipped galley to port with Corian countertops, stainless steel refrigerator-freezer, two-burner electric stove, and microwave. The mid-cabin adjoins the salon with U-shaped seating that converts to a double berth.

The engine room is fitted with freshwater-cooled diesel engines, a 7.6-kilowatt Westerbeke generator, Racor fuel filters, automatic fire extinguisher system, and bilge pump with auto float switch and high water alarm. The engines show 1,525 hours and were recently serviced. Navigation and controls include a Raymarine hybrid touch multifunction display with GPS, depth finder, and HD radar; Raymarine autopilot and VHF radio; and a Volvo Helmview digital engine monitor. Deck equipment includes a Lewmar windlass with counter, ACR remote spotlight, foredeck sun pad, hydraulic swim platform with SeaDek faux teak flooring, and a cockpit refrigerator.
