2004 Beneteau 57

Designed by Bruce Farr, this 2004 Beneteau 57 represents the refined approach to ocean-going sailboats that defined the class. The yacht combines robust fiberglass construction with elegant proportions and a thoughtfully planned interior. A single 160 hp Yammer diesel engine provides dependable auxiliary power. This example is the Owner's Version, featuring an expansive full-beam aft stateroom alongside three additional cabins and four heads throughout.

The yacht was privately owned from delivery and never chartered. Over the past two years, the current owner undertook a comprehensive technical refit spanning navigation, electrical systems, and self-sufficiency systems. New navigation electronics include an ORCA Core system with integrated autopilot control and Raymarine EV400 sail autopilot, supported by a modern NMEA 2000 network. The electrical architecture was substantially upgraded with a 28.6 kWh lithium house battery bank using Victron Energy integration, including inverter-chargers, solar charging, and smart management systems.

Water independence received equal attention. A new Seawater Pro watermaker produces 40 gallons per hour, backed by upgraded freshwater systems and an electric flush toilet conversion. Climate control includes air conditioning throughout the yacht. A newly installed life raft, EPIRB, and Starlink satellite internet complete the cruising readiness. Additional recent additions include a new Neptune 3.60 metre tender with 6 hp Honda outboard, fresh cutlass bearing and shaft seal, and entertainment systems in the salon and master cabin.

The yacht carries 2,450 engine hours and is presented in excellent condition. A diesel engine, bow thruster, and generator support extended cruising capability. The combination of the design's proven ocean-crossing pedigree and the comprehensive modern systems integration makes this a fully-equipped passage maker.
