2004 Beneteau Oceanis 473

The 2004 Beneteau Oceanis 473 is a 47-foot cruising sailboat built in the USA with a fiberglass hull and beam of 14 feet. Power comes from a Yammer 4JH3-TE diesel engine rated at 75 hp with 1,172 hours of operation. The boat features dual helm stations and is equipped with a Sleipner bow thruster with joystick control, installed in 2023.

Below deck, the yacht accommodates two cabins with four heads and includes a full galley and salon. Climate control is provided by two reverse-cycle air conditioning units sized for the main salon (16,000 btu each, 2025) and aft cabin (6,000 btu), along with a Fisher Panda 8kW generator. A Magnum MS2012 inverter/charger supports 12-volt systems, and a Lewmar Horizon 1500 windlass with remote operation serves the ground tackle.

The sail plan comprises a fully-battened Ullman Hydronet tri-cut mainsail from 2009 with a strong track system and cars on the mast, a 135% Ullman Hydronet genoa from 2011, and a gennaker. The mainsail cover dates to 2019. A Max Prop 21-inch three-blade feathering propeller is fitted. Mast height clearance is 62 feet.

Navigation and communication systems include a Raymarine Axiom 16-inch multifunction display with chartplotter, HD radar, and a comprehensive suite of instruments (speed, wind, depth, and autopilot). A Standard Horizon GX2000 VHF radio with remote mic is installed at the helm. Additional onboard equipment includes Samsung and Magnum stereo systems, a KVH TracVision TV1 satellite receiver, TV antenna, and Plastimo Olympic compasses at both helms. Companionway entry doors were replaced in 2021, as were cockpit cushions. A 7-person liferaft is aboard.
