This 2004 Carolina Classic 28 is a twin-engine sportfish built on a fiberglass hull. Powered by two Volvo KAMD43 diesel engines, it combines fuel efficiency with quiet operation and has logged approximately 575 hours. The engines received belt service in 2023 and full transmission and engine servicing in 2025.
The boat underwent substantial modernization in 2022, including a complete Garmin electronics suite with radar and dual touchscreen chartplotters, new transducer, custom instrumentation dash, and VHF radio. Additional updates include new stereo system with speaker-integrated lighting, helm and cockpit overhead lights, hardtop-mounted floodlight, and fishbox macerator pump. Raw water washdown system and all electrical wiring and grounding were installed new. The V-berth received new cushions, and interior insulation was added to the engine room.
Mechanical updates span recent seasons: shafts and props were refurbished with new cutlass bearings, dripless shaft seals, and rudder seals installed. Bottom paint was applied in 2022 and refreshed in 2024. New Eisenglass was fitted. The boat carries a tri-axle trailer.
The 28-footer accommodates six people comfortably for overnight cruising and has proven dependable through extended trips.
