This 2004 Garcia Passoa 55 CC is an aluminum-hulled cruising yacht designed by architects Alain Mortain and Yannis Mavrikios, with hull construction by Garcia and custom interior carpentry by Rameau. The boat was launched and finished in 2016. Powered by a Perkins M115 diesel engine of 115 horsepower with 1,200 hours of service, the yacht carries a Maxprop three-blade propeller and is supported by a Kohler 6.5 kva generator.
The accommodations feature three cabins and two heads arranged around a spacious central saloon with teak deck. The owner's cabin and a second double cabin are complemented by a third cabin with two single berths. The main saloon seats eight to ten and incorporates cherry wood cabinetry with light Alcantara soft furnishings and LED lighting throughout. The galley is positioned to port, while the navigation station is integrated with a full chart table and dedicated electrical panel. Storage is extensive across all living areas.
Deck layout in teak provides clear sightlines and unobstructed movement from cabin trunk to bow. Electric winches—Harken ST 70 and ST 46—are mounted to allow sail handling from the central cockpit, suited to short-handed sailing. Sails mounted on rollers with a self-tacking system for the jib, a carbon boom, and Sparcraft boom dominate the 2016 rig of Hydranet grand sail and jib.
Electronics include Furuno radar and multifunction displays, Navpilot 711 autopilot with backup unit, GPS units, Imarsat with internet and telephone, and AIS. A Dessalator water maker, two freezers, refrigerator, and 3kg Soba washing machine serve cruising needs. A Max Power thruster, Goiot electric windlass, and Highfield tender with Honda 20hp outboard complete the outfit. Safety gear has been serviced to current standards.
