2004 Hunter 44 Deck Salon

This 2004 Hunter 44 Deck Salon is a fiberglass cruising sloop powered by a new 57-horsepower Yanmar diesel engine with zero hours, paired with a fresh transmission and dripless shaft seal. The boat spans 44 feet in length with a 14.5-foot beam and reaches a mast height of 57 feet 6 inches above water. Built for extended cruising, it carries 600 watts of solar generation, a 600-amp-hour battery bank, and a watermaker for self-sufficiency offshore.

The three-cabin, two-head layout offers spacious accommodations throughout. The main saloon features an L-shaped seating area with upgraded cushions and a lowering table that converts to an oversized daybed. A 32-inch television runs from a dedicated entertainment inverter. The galley on the port side includes a Force 10 two-burner stove with grill, microwave, separate freezer, and refrigeration via both an Isotherm unit and Dometic Coolfreeze cooler. The navigation station sits to starboard with ample storage beneath. Forward, the V-berth cabin has its own head and shower. Two additional aft cabins share a second head and shower with direct access from one cabin. All mattresses were replaced in 2021. Headroom throughout reaches 6 feet 6 inches.

Recent upgrades reflect a comprehensive refit: the Yammer engine, transmission, and dripless sealing are new with zero hours; standing rigging was replaced and tuned in early 2022; the hull received fresh grey paint and new canvas in late 2022; house batteries are new; and a new steering pedestal, throttle rebuild, and throttle cables were installed. Electronics include Raymarine autopilot, multifunction display with radar, wind instruments, speed and depth readouts, and an Icom VHF. A certified life raft, wind generator, portable generator, and solar charge controller round out the systems. The boat cruises at 7 knots with a maximum speed of 9 knots.
