The 2004 Lagoon 380 is a French-built fiberglass catamaran designed for ocean cruising. At 38 feet in length with a 21-foot beam, she carries a Marconi fractional sloop rig featuring a fully battened mainsail, roller-furled genoa, and asymmetrical spinnaker. Twin 29 horsepower Yanmar diesel engines with sail drives provide auxiliary power. The boat draws 3 feet 9 inches and is fitted with spade rudders, allowing shallow-water anchoring. She is rated as a CE Category A ocean vessel capable of withstanding severe sea conditions.
Below deck, the layout comprises three staterooms sleeping seven comfortably, two heads with showers, and a galley-up design with full appliances including refrigerator, freezer, and propane stove. The main saloon offers 6 feet 5 inches of headroom with seating for six and a dedicated navigation station. An Ech2o Tec watermaker produces fresh water; fuel capacity is 52 gallons and water capacity is 150 gallons. The boat is equipped with solar panels, battery banks, inverter, air conditioning, and 13 cabin fans for climate control.
Navigation and safety systems include VHF radios, GPS and chartplotters, AIS, depthsounder, wind instruments, and autopilot. The boat carries comprehensive emergency equipment: liferaft, Lifesling, multiple anchors with chain rode, fire suppression systems, and EPIRB and SPOT satellite messengers. A Highfield tender with electric outboard is carried on davits.
Significant maintenance and upgrades have been completed, including replacement of the genoa roller furler, new anchor chain, electrical system upgrades from 220 to 110 volts with new inverter and panel, Raymarine autopilot installation, air conditioning system, antifouling bottom paint application, interior wood repair and varnishing, new running rigging and hardware, LED lighting throughout, and deck safety rail additions.
