This 2004 Meridian 408 motoryacht is built on a composite hull and powered by twin Cummins 6 BTA diesel engines producing 740 horsepower, with a cruising speed of 16 knots and maximum speed of 24 knots. The 42-foot yacht has a 14-foot beam and is designed as a sedan bridge with full enclosure in canvas and isinglass, recently recovered seat cushions, and excellent working condition throughout.
Recent major maintenance includes a 2000-hour service completed in 2025: both aftercoolers were removed, cleaned, and reassembled with new units installed; all 12 fuel injectors were replaced; starboard seawater pump was replaced and port impeller serviced; both engines had valve lash adjusted and all anodes replaced; air filters were renewed and serpentine belts replaced on both engines. A new starboard fuel lift pump was installed. The twin Cummins engines are favored for ease of maintenance and parts availability. The Onan 11.5 kilowatt diesel generator has been serviced, and both vacuum pumps in the heads were rebuilt. Cutlass bearings and dripless shaft seals were replaced by professionals, and the bottom was maintained by divers throughout cruising.
Accommodations include four air conditioning units with reverse cycle heating throughout the boat (salon has two replaced units, aft cabin has one replaced, and V-berth unit operates well). All salon and four cabin AC units are functional. A Splendide washer-dryer combo is aboard. Fresh water wash-down systems are installed at bow and stern, with a shower featuring hot and cold water on the swim platform. All interior lighting has been converted to LED. The boat carries a new Starlink mini system for connectivity.
Equipment includes new Garmin electronics (12-inch chart plotter, backup camera, radar, depth finder, autopilot), Com VHF radio with AIS send and receive, EPIRB and PLB, fire suppression system certified in 2025, and a DockMate remote control system for thrusters and transmissions. A new Mantus 65-pound anchor with 200 feet of galvanized 5/16-inch chain and 150 feet of 5/8-inch line comprise the ground tackle. A Highfield 10-foot RIB dinghy with 6 HP Tohatsu outboard is included with Weaver davit system and winch. The exterior was recently washed, compounded, polished, and waxed to the waterline.
