The 2004 Meridian 490 Pilothouse is a 49-foot fiberglass motor yacht powered by twin Cummins diesel engines producing 660 horsepower. She cruises at 18 knots and reaches 24 knots at top speed. The raised pilothouse helm provides commanding visibility and full electronics, while the wide side decks and covered cockpit support safe, easy handling underway.
The three-stateroom, two-head layout provides comfortable accommodation for extended cruising or liveaboard use. The main salon and galley offer generous space for entertaining, and custom mattresses have been installed in the master and guest suites. The design balances comfort with practical functionality throughout.
Recent maintenance includes a full service of both engines and the generator completed in May 2025, with all fluids and anodes replaced. The cooling systems for the generator and engines were flushed in July 2025. New bottom paint, shark cutters on the shafts, and waterless shaft seals were applied in November 2024. A new 20-gallon water heater and fresh water pump have been installed, along with four replacement batteries and new carbon monoxide sensors rated for five years. New smoke alarms rated for ten years and a new Bimini with canvas covers were added in 2025. Electronics including transducers and a sound system were upgraded in 2021. Oil and transmission samples from last month are available upon request.
