2004 Silverton 48 Convertible

This 2004 Silverton 48 Convertible is a twin-engine diesel cruiser built for extended offshore passage and comfortable living. Powered by a pair of Volvo Penta D12-715 turbo diesel engines with ZF transmissions, she reaches 29 knots at full throttle and cruises efficiently at 25 knots. A 19kW Kohler diesel generator supports the five-zone air conditioning and heating system throughout the boat. The fiberglass hull measures 50 feet in length with a 16-foot beam, and the boat includes a Walkers Bay tender with 30HP Honda outboard and a Marquipt 1,000-pound davit on the bow.

The layout comprises three staterooms and two heads arranged for both privacy and entertaining. The master stateroom amidships features a queen berth with en-suite head and shower, cedar-lined locker, and drop-down television. The forward VIP stateroom offers a centerline berth with its own head and shower, while the bunk room provides twin berths for additional guests. A washer-dryer combo is located in the companionway.

The salon features large panoramic windows, comfortable seating with dining space, and a full galley with Princess three-burner cooktop, dual-zone refrigerator-freezer, convection microwave, trash compactor, and dual sinks. The cockpit includes a transom door leading to a swim platform, in-deck storage boxes, transom fish box, exterior grill, drink refrigerator, and cockpit sink and shower.

The boat has been actively maintained with recent work including new battery chargers, refrigerator and freezer, and port engine display. The bridge enclosure was replaced in 2023. The 1,000-hour engine service was completed less than 400 hours ago, and the rudders were replaced in 2019. Navigation equipment includes dual Raymarine RL80C radar-GPS units, Raymarine autopilot and depth sounder, Standard Horizon VHF with AIS, and dual Volvo Penta engine displays. Additional features include a bow thruster, central vacuum system, hydraulic steering, Bennett trim tabs, and 220-volt 50-amp shore power capability.
