This 2004 Solaris 76 is a custom sloop designed by Dick Young Designs in London, built with vinylester and epoxy resins using high-tech infusion construction. The hull features a reverse stern designed by Doug Peterson, combining strength with refined aesthetics. The construction method delivers a 20% weight reduction and 15% increase in strength-to-strain ratio, while eliminating osmosis and delamination concerns.
A full refit was completed in 2020, including new AWLgrip hull and superstructure painting in oyster white, with the mast and boom also refinished. All interior and cockpit cushions and sofas were renewed. The five-cabin layout accommodates multiple crew with five heads throughout.
Power comes from a single 225 hp Perkins Sabre diesel engine. At 76 feet in length with a 19-foot beam, the yacht is built on a fiberglass hull and designed for extended cruising passages with robust construction and spacious accommodations supporting comfort and self-sufficiency at sea.
