2004 Wharram Tiki 46

This is the first hull of the Wharram Tiki 46 design, a composite catamaran built for serious ocean cruising. Measuring 47 feet long with a 24-foot beam, she carries twin Yamaha 50-horsepower engines and achieves a cruising speed of 12 knots with a maximum speed of 14 knots. The design's slim hulls and open deck layout provide safe working space and straightforward sail handling without demanding an oversized sail plan. The boat has logged more than 50,000 ocean miles and is proven in extended blue water passages.

Over the past three to four years, the hull has undergone extensive structural work: the composite hulls have been barrier-coated and freshly painted. Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems have been substantially replaced or rebuilt throughout. More than $140,000 has been invested in modern equipment and upgrades during this refit.

The boat remains a work in progress. She sits in the water and requires final assembly to be sailing-ready: the new mast needs stepping, rigging setup, and installation of toe rails and hatches. All necessary hardware, parts, and equipment for completion are included and on hand.
