2005 Beneteau First 36.7

The 2005 Beneteau First 36.7 is a 36-foot racer-cruiser built around a proven Farr Yacht Design that balances competitive performance with genuine cruising comfort. The fiberglass hull features single-skin laminated construction with a structural inner moulding to distribute loads and reduce hull strain. The deck employs balsa sandwich construction for strength and weight efficiency, with a roughened non-slip surface throughout. Powered by a 29 hp Volvo Penta diesel engine, the yacht offers both speed and reliability for passage-making.

The accommodation layout includes a forward cabin with a full double v-berth measuring 6'5" by 5'2", a port cabin with a 6'6" by 5'8" queen berth, and a starboard cabin with an oversized single berth. A separate head compartment houses a marine toilet, 22-gallon holding tank with y-valve, wash basin, and pressurized hot and cold shower. The galley features an L-shaped layout with a gimballed two-burner LPG stove and oven, double stainless steel sinks, pressurized hot and cold water, and a 12-volt electric refrigeration unit.

The salon provides a settee with leatherette cushions, a folding table on a stainless pedestal base, and a chart table with navigation seat. The boat carries comprehensive navigation electronics including a Garmin GPSmap 546 chartplotter, Garmin GMI 10, Raymarine autopilot and wind instruments, and an ICOM VHF radio. Electrical systems include 110-volt shore power and reverse-cycle AC/heat.

The rigging setup delivers racing capability with a fractional keel stepped rig, Lewmar racing winches and tracks, Harken furler, and a carbon fiber spinnaker pole. The sail inventory includes both Dacron and 3DL main and genoa combinations, blade jib, light and heavy spinnaker, and storm jib and trysail. Since 2014, the boat has received regular maintenance including new canvas work, compass, glow plugs, and mast climber system, along with cosmetic updates to the spinnaker pole.
