2005 Camano Trawler

This 31-foot Camano trawler represents a distinctive approach to hull design. Rather than following traditional displacement or planing principles, the Warman design blends elements of both—featuring a deep displacement-style stem forward that transitions to hard chines aft, paired with a substantial keel accounting for roughly 25 percent of hull displacement. This hybrid configuration allows the boat to accelerate smoothly onto a plane while maintaining excellent stability and minimal bow rise across a broad speed range. At a steady 12 knots, the 132-gallon fuel capacity provides approximately 350 nautical miles of range. The hull is solid fiberglass laminate with gelcoat finish, composite bulkheads, and FRP stringers for stiffness. Decks and cabin house are molded as a single piece in solid and cored fiberglass with non-skid surfaces, joined to the hull with stainless fasteners and adhesive bedding.

The 200-horsepower Yanmar four-cylinder turbodiesel powers the boat through a ZF transmission. The engine shows 880 hours on the meter as of October 2025. A stainless steel prop shaft with line cutters drives a bronze four-blade propeller. The boat features both upper and lower helm stations with Sea Star hydraulic steering, a bow thruster, and a Lofrans Marlin windlass. A Raymarine E Series electronics suite includes radar, chart plotter, depth sounder, and autopilot installed in 2018. VHF radios, helm compasses, and a Pioneer stereo complete the wheelhouse. Recent servicing includes the PSS stuffing box and starboard fuel gauge sender replacement in 2021; the bronze tiller arm was replaced new in 2019.

The interior is bright and open, with 360-degree windows providing outward views. The main salon features a port-side L-shaped settee with an adjustable two-piece table that converts into lounge seating or a double berth. Forward is the galley with a stainless sink, Force 10 two-burner propane stove, microwave, and 12-volt refrigerator-freezer. The head includes a Sealand Vac-U-Flush toilet and hand-held shower. Below decks, a forward cabin sleeps two in a vee berth with filler cushion. The boat carries 60 gallons of fresh water, an eight-gallon hot water tank, and a 14-gallon holding tank. A Marine Air reverse-cycle system heats and cools all spaces. Separate battery banks power ship systems and engine start; a 2500-watt inverter-charger and engine alternator provide charging. The flybridge accommodates six people and includes an upper control station with vinyl helm seats, stainless safety rails, and canvas bimini and awning frames.
