This 2005 Catalina Morgan 440 is a 45-foot fiberglass sailing yacht built for extended offshore cruising and comfortable liveaboard living. The hull features a wing keel drawing 5 feet 7 inches and a beam of 14 feet. Power comes from a Yanmar 4JH3-TE diesel engine rated at 75 horsepower, paired with a Westerbeke 7.6 kW generator. A Side-Power bow thruster and direct-drive three-blade propeller complete the mechanical package.
The interior holds two cabins and two heads. Accommodations include dual air-conditioning units, an Isotherm refrigerator and freezer, a three-burner Princess stove with oven, and a 700W microwave. A Splendide washer and dryer are installed. Recent interior work includes new upholstery completed in October 2025. The electrical system features a substantial 870 amp-hour AGM house bank, 580 watts of solar panels, a 400-watt wind generator, multiple Victron management systems, and a 3000-watt inverter supporting modern conveniences including a Starlink antenna and modem.
The rigging and sails reflect recent investment: standing rigging was renewed in July 2025. The sloop carries a LeisureFurl in-boom furling main from 2021, a Schaefer furling headsail system with 135% genoa and 110% jib, and an asymmetrical spinnaker with sock. Navigation electronics include a Raymarine Axiom 12-inch chartplotter, 24-mile Doppler radar, Type II autopilot, AIS transceiver, and multiple communication systems. Fuel, water, and holding capacities are 100, 160, and 60 gallons respectively.
Recent mechanical work includes shaft seal replacement, raw water system rebuild, water pump and impeller service, and turbo system overhaul completed in early 2026, with fresh bottom paint applied in March 2026. Deck equipment includes a Maxwell 1500 windlass with remote, a Mantus 65-pound anchor with 200 feet of chain, and a Fortress secondary anchor. The boat carries a 2019 AB Inflatables 9.5 RIB tender with a 2016 Tohatsu 9.8 HP four-stroke outboard. Additional cruising equipment includes a Rainman portable watermaker, liferaft, tower and davits, full weather protection, and comprehensive spares and maintenance documentation.
