2005 Cruisers Yachts 405 Express Motoryacht

This 2005 Cruisers Yachts 405 Express is a 42-foot fiberglass motoryacht powered by twin Volvo Penta TAMD 74EDC diesel engines producing 430 horsepower each, with a 9kW genset, bow and stern thrusters, and trim tabs. The boat benefits from recent mechanical work including new turbos and elbows installed in 2024, with the 1000-hour service recently completed.

The interior includes two heads, a galley with dual electric burners and cockpit refrigerator, and multiple staterooms with sleeping berths. Climate control features new air conditioning in the main salon (27k BTU, 2019) and aft cabin/galley (12k BTU, 2025). Navigation and communication systems include Raymarine GPS, radar, and VHF radio.

Recent upgrades and replacements span multiple systems: new Renogy 3000w Pure Sine Wave inverter charger with dual 250-amp-hour batteries (2019), LED interior lighting throughout (2021), new fresh water pump (2023), new shower and sink fixtures with AC sump components (2022, 2024), and new Eisenglass panels above the windshield (2023) and aft cockpit (2024). Both port and starboard alternators have been replaced, with the starboard unit new in 2025. Additional equipment includes remote spotlight and helm joystick control, fire suppression in the engine room, and multiple CO2 detectors.

The hull and running gear were refreshed in April 2026 with bottom, shaft, and propeller painting, and zincs replaced. The boat was maintained in freshwater until 2017.
