2005 Dufour 40 Performance

The 2005 Dufour 40 Performance is a 40-foot sailing yacht with a fiberglass hull and fluid, aggressive design lines. Built for performance and stability, the boat carries a 40 hp Volvo diesel engine with a three-blade retractable propeller. The deck is fitted with a Facnor furling system, bimini and dodger, lazy jack, and full sail inventory including a 110% jib, 135% genoa, mainsail with three reefs, and spinnaker.

Below deck, the layout features two cabins, one head, and a separate shower. The interior is finished with quality woodwork and warm detail work throughout. Power systems include a battery bank of two 200-amp-hour AGM units plus a dedicated engine battery, as well as a 20-amp solar panel controller. Heating is provided by a Spar system.

The boat carries comprehensive cruising equipment: autopilot, radar, two anchors with 200 feet of 5/16 chain, sun covers, fenders, a safety kit, and a deck-mounted BBQ. The Volvo engine had 925 hours logged at the time of documentation. The boat has been maintained continuously in fresh water.
