The 2005 Glacier Bay 3490 Ocean Runner is a 34-foot fiberglass catamaran built for comfort and capability in all conditions. Twin Suzuki DF350 outboards deliver 700 horsepower and cruise at 17 knots with a top speed of 25 knots. The 13-foot-3-inch beam provides inherent stability whether underway or at anchor, and the design combines a fully enclosed lower helm with a flybridge, offering flexibility for year-round operation.
Below deck, the boat sleeps up to four in a queen berth forward with dropdown television, plus a crew cabin with single berth and a convertible settee in the salon. The galley features an electric two-burner cooktop, microwave, and three refrigerators. Reverse-cycle air conditioning and heat provide climate control throughout.
Power and systems include a Westerbeke 5KW EFI generator, Xantrex inverter/charger, True Charge battery charger, Link 1000 battery monitor, and a house battery bank of six 6-volt units. Navigation and autopilot are handled by Simrad electronics. The Suzuki engines underwent full 500-hour service in April 2024 at 560 total hours; the Simrad system was updated in 2012 and the generator runs just 28 hours.
The boat's layout caters to fishing and crabbing, with two fish holds, a 45-gallon live bait well, cleaning station, and a spacious area between the engines suited to landing catch. Flybridge seating accommodates four adults.
