The 2005 Hinckley Picnic Boat 36 is a 36-foot downeast-style composite yacht built for both performance and refined entertaining. Powered by a single 440-horsepower Yanmar diesel engine with Hamilton jet drive, the boat cruises at 24 knots and reaches 28 knots at speed. The waterjet propulsion system and integrated JetStick control provide exceptional maneuverability and the ability to access shallow waters. The hull employs Hinckley's DualGuard composite construction with a Kevlar-E-glass hybrid outer skin and SCRIMP lamination, finished in dark green Awlgrip topsides with a cream gelcoat cabin and deck.

The open cockpit centers on an integrated wet bar with a stainless steel grill and sink, paired with aft cushioned seating. Forward of the engine box is a full-width settee. The pilothouse features tinted windshield glass, sliding side windows, and four opening hatches overhead. Twin Stidd helm and companion seats face forward with swivel capability. Navigation electronics include a Raymarine C120 color chartplotter with 2kW radar, ST-6001 autopilot with GyroPlus2, Raystar WAAS GPS, and an Icom M302 VHF with DSC. The helm station incorporates a 14-inch stainless steel steering wheel and custom instrument pod.

Below deck, cherry joinery throughout the cabin with varnished teak sole creates a refined interior. The forward V-berth accommodates a double berth with stowable insert. The galley includes a Corian countertop, stainless steel sink, Force 10 two-burner stove, Delonghi convection oven, and Adler Barbour refrigeration. The head features a Vacu-Flush marine toilet with 27-gallon holding tank and a shower with hot and cold pressure water. A 35-gallon fresh water tank and 6-gallon hot water heater support the systems. The boat carries dual 80-gallon fuel tanks for a 160-gallon total capacity.

The boat has been maintained exclusively in fresh water. Recent upgrades include refinished bright work, new cushions, and new canvas. A Muir electric windlass with polished stainless steel Delta anchor sits in the flush foredeck locker. The electrical system comprises three house and starting batteries with an 80-amp alternator, plus a 110-volt 30-amp shore power system with inverter-charger.
