The 2005 Hinckley Talaria 44 is a 44-foot composite motor yacht powered by twin Yanmar 6LY2A-STP diesel engines delivering 440 horsepower each, paired with Hamilton 322 waterjets and a 10-inch bow thruster. The hull employs Hinckley's DualGuard composite construction—a sandwich of Kevlar, E-glass, carbon fiber, and aircraft-grade balsa sealed with the SCRIMP resin infusion process—providing superior stiffness, impact resistance, and osmosis protection. The topsides are finished in Flag Blue Awlgrip with a cream gelcoat deck and red bottom.
The interior sleeps four and features a master stateroom forward with an island queen berth, separate head and shower compartments, an open galley and dining salon amidships, and a raised pilothouse with helm and navigator stations. The accommodations are finished in cherry cabinetry with teak and tulipwood soles, vinyl overheads with cherry battens, and accented throughout with varnished teak railings and trim. The galley and head were refitted in 2023 with Corian countertops. Climate control is provided by a 40,000 BTU reverse-cycle air-conditioning system throughout the interior and pilothouse. Lighting is managed by dimmers and LED fixtures, with nine overhead hatches and six opening portholes providing natural ventilation.
The pilothouse features dual Stidd helm seats upholstered in UltraLeather, L-shaped settees with storage, and an adjustable teak table. The cockpit includes aft-facing and forward-facing seating, a teak deck, transom door to the swim platform, and access to the stern lazarette. Navigation systems include dual Raymarine Axiom 12RV multifunction displays with 72-mile open array radar, Raymarine autopilot, and Icom VHF radio. The engines logged 790 hours as of September 2025 and are paired with ZF Marine 1.41:1 reverse/reduction gears and Lenco trim tabs. The boat carries 500 gallons of fuel and 100 gallons of freshwater, with a Muir electric windlass and 35-pound Delta anchor.
