The 2005 Leopard 43 is a fiberglass catamaran designed by Simonis & Voogd and built by Robertson & Caine in South Africa. This 43-foot cruising cat spans 22.9 feet in beam and is powered by twin 78 hp Yanmar diesel engines with Max-Prop propellers. The design combines proven offshore capability with the spacious layout and stability characteristic of the platform.
The accommodation plan includes four cabins and four heads, arranged around a bright, well-ventilated saloon. A protected helm station overlooks the large cockpit, which is fitted with a rigid bimini and full enclosure for comfort and weather protection. The galley is U-shaped with generous storage and workspace, suited to extended time at sea.
Power and water systems reflect a setup for self-sufficient cruising: a 2200W solar panel array, lithium battery bank, watermaker, and dual refrigeration and freezer units support extended passages. Navigation equipment includes a full Raymarine system with radar, AIS, ST60 instruments, and E127 display. An electric winch, new 18 hp outboard engine, and washing machine complete the gear list.
