The 2005 Marlow 78E is a 82-foot pilothouse motor yacht built on a fiberglass hull and powered by twin 1400-hp Caterpillar diesel engines paired with dual 20kW Northern Lights generators. The yacht features a Portuguese bridge layout with high bulwarks, wide side decks, and teak cap rails that allow easy movement fore and aft. Access to the main deck comes via transom doors leading from the swim platform or through port and starboard bulwark doors, with a covered aft deck providing outdoor lounging space with custom seating and a teak table.
The accommodation plan comprises five cabins and five heads. The full-width owner's stateroom amidships houses a centerline king berth with his-and-her heads finished in granite and Grohe fixtures, along with a vanity and built-in desk. Forward is the VIP stateroom with a king berth and private head with separate shower in light maple with teak trim, offering nearly 7 feet of headroom. Two additional guest staterooms are located along the lower deck—one with twin single berths and one with a queen berth elevated to accommodate washer and dryer below. A crew cabin with sleeping for two and full head and shower is accessed from the engine room. The main salon features leather recliners, opposing sofas with hydraulic lift storage, teak flooring, and a formal dining area with a custom inlaid teak table. The pilothouse and galley sit three steps above, with the galley finished in black galaxy granite countertops and equipped with a Dacor range and oven, U-Line and Sub-Zero refrigeration, Fisher-Paykel dishwasher, and other quality appliances.
Mechanical systems include a 1600-gallon-per-day water maker, chilled water air conditioning with reverse cycle heat, Naiad stabilizers, and bow and stern thrusters rated at 20 and 15 horsepower respectively. The electronics package provides full redundancy across both lower and upper helms with dual Furuno GPS chartplotters, multiple Furuno Navnet TZtouch3 multifunction displays, Simrad autopilots, and VHF radio systems. Tank monitoring, thruster controls, and engine parameters are accessible from an overhead systems panel.
Recent updates include a full hull, transom, and swim platform repaint in Flag Blue with new bottom paint, rebuilt trim tabs with new zincs, stabilizer service including shaft seal replacement, engine room LED lighting and new spreader lights, upgraded interior and cockpit lighting throughout, serviced main engines and water makers with new reverse osmosis membranes, and new soft goods.
