The American Tug 34 Pilothouse Trawler is a fiberglass trawler powered by a single 380-horsepower Cummins Common Rail diesel engine with 3,500 hours. At 34 feet long with a 13.25-foot beam, it combines the stability and seaworthiness expected of the design with manageable size for cruising. The boat features a burgundy hull and is equipped with a 6-kilowatt Northern Lights generator in a sound shield, electric stern thruster, and electric head.
Accommodations include a single cabin and one head. The interior has new upholstery from 2025. On deck, the pilothouse provides excellent visibility and weather protection, while a new Bimini with zip-in sun screens on three sides offers shade and protection. An integrated dinghy system includes a new AB Console dinghy with 20-horsepower Mercury outboard motor and Tomco electric davits.
Systems and auxiliary equipment reflect recent upgrades. Two 175-watt solar panels with Victron MPPT controllers were installed in 2022, supporting auxiliary power generation. The electric head is new from 2022. A comprehensive maintenance log documents the boat's upkeep throughout its ownership. The boat is currently in heated indoor storage.
