2006 Beneteau Oceanis 523

The 2006 Beneteau Oceanis 523 is a 53-foot fiberglass sailing yacht designed by the Finot Group. Built on a fast, offshore-capable hull with a generous 16-foot beam, she delivers stable performance in open water and combines practical seamanship with comfortable cruising. A single 110 hp Yanmar diesel engine powers the boat to a cruising speed of around 6 knots, with a maximum speed of approximately 8 knots.

The yacht accommodates six guests across three double cabins plus a forward crew quarters with private head. The master stateroom sits forward with a central berth, seating, and an ensuite bathroom with separate shower. Two double guest cabins aft each feature their own ensuite heads. The crew cabin at the forepeak offers a V-berth and head, though the current owner uses it for gear storage. The full-beam salon includes a large U-shaped galley settee to port with a wood dining table, navigation station to starboard, and forward-facing views. The galley features Corian countertops, substantial pantry storage, a 3-burner propane stove with oven, Isotherm refrigeration and freezer, ice maker, and microwave.

The boat is comprehensively equipped for offshore sailing. Six manual winches plus one electric unit service the deck, which carries new 2025 Dacron sails including main and #1 genoa from Cliffside. An aluminum mast stepped on the keel features wire standing rigging and roller furling. Deck gear includes dual anchors (Delta and Fortress) with electric windlass, triple stainless lifelines, swim platform, bow pulpit, and a 10-foot RIB tender with 9.5 hp outboard. Recent upgrades include five new 8D batteries in 2025, a new VHF radio in 2024, and refreshed sails the same year. Power systems include three solar panels, a Panda 2200 generator, and a Vectron inverter-charger. Triple air conditioning units, three electric heads plus one manual, and full navigation electronics round out the systems.
