This 2006 Grand Soleil 50 is a performance cruiser designed by Judel/Vrolijk and built by Cantiere del Pardo in Italy. The yacht combines serious sailing capability with a well-appointed interior suited to extended cruising. The fractional sloop rig and purposeful hull design reward active sailing, while the 50-foot length and nearly 15-foot beam provide a stable platform for offshore passages.
The four-cabin layout has been modified to provide full-size cabins, making the interior flexible for extended cruising or accommodating guests. Teak decks run throughout the hull, coachroof, and cockpit, and hull windows port and starboard bring light and quality to the spaces below. The yacht is equipped with electric Harken winches, a carbon passerelle, and an electrically operated transom swim platform. Webasto diesel heating provides comfort in cooler conditions.
Recent investment includes a fully overhauled engine with a new turbo fitted in 2023, a three-blade Max-Prop, and a retractable Side Power bow thruster installed in 2021. A complete sail wardrobe in CDX laminate—mainsail, genoa 135%, and gennaker—was replaced in 2021, along with new running rigging. The interior was fully refreshed the same year with new cushions, upholstery, and mattresses. A WhisperPower 2000W inverter was added in 2023 and a flexible solar panel in 2024. The AGM battery bank has been recently checked. The yacht has been professionally maintained annually and stored ashore each winter throughout her life.
