The 2006 Hobie Wave is a 14-foot sailing catamaran designed for easy launching, towing, and single-handed operation. Its compact size and simple setup make it ideal for learning to sail or casual day sailing. The boat accommodates small crews comfortably on its trampoline and is light enough to trailer to different waters.
This example has been comprehensively refurbished. It includes two main sails—one standard and one with a zipper reefing system—along with standing rigging in duplicate sets and new running rigging throughout. The trampoline and seat pads are new, and the hull's composite top has been resurfaced with smooth, UV-resistant epoxy. Notably, this boat has been fitted with hardware to accommodate a jib sail, a feature not standard on most Wave models.
The included trailer is equipped with freshly repacked bearings, new taillights, and new Boat Buckle tie-downs for secure travel and quick launching. Cat Trax beach wheels are fitted, eliminating the need to drag the boat across sand. A rotomolded storage box bolted to the trailer holds sails, rudders, and other gear, while a cover with tenting system protects the boat during storage.
