The 2002 Hobie Cat Club Wave 13 is a lightweight catamaran built from roto-molded polyethylene, weighing just 245 pounds. This design makes it quick to rig and launch, while the 13-foot length and 7-foot beam provide stability and carrying capacity for solo sailing or family outings. The boat features a special keel shape that eliminates the need for daggerboards, simplifying beaching and handling.
The Wave's standard equipment includes a fully battened Dacron mainsail with a safety view window, an easy-attach mesh trampoline with drink holders, padded seat cushions, and the Hobie Bob mast float to help prevent turtling if capsized. The rudder system allows for quick deployment and retrieval when beaching. A new turquoise trampoline was installed in summer 2024.
The sails and rigging are in good condition. The boat comes with a trailer that is ready for transport. At 13 feet overall with a 20-foot mast and straightforward assembly, this catamaran is designed for easy storage, transport, and quick deployment on the water.
