2006 Hunter 38

The 2006 Hunter 38 is a 38-foot fiberglass sailing yacht with a beam of just over 12 feet, built for coastal and offshore cruising. The monohull design balances stability with responsive handling, powered by a single 40-horsepower Yanmar diesel engine. An electric windlass simplifies anchoring operations.

The interior comprises two cabins and one head, offering straightforward accommodation for cruising. Layout and appointments follow Hunter's practical approach to galley and saloon spaces, designed around the needs of extended time at sea.

The boat has benefited from a substantial refit program over recent years. The sails include a 2021 mainsail and a 2025 Doyle 115% jib. Canvas work completed in 2025 covers the bimini, dodger, connector, helm cover, and two deck port covers. Navigation and communication systems include a 2020 Raymarine RS150 GPS/Glonass receiver and a 2019 ICOM M424G VHF radio with internal GPS and helm microphone. The electrical system features a new deep-cycle house battery installed in July 2025, a ProMariner ProNautic 12.30P charging system from 2022, and a 2025 Rule 40A automatic bilge pump switch. Climate control is provided by a 2022 6,000-BTU marine air conditioning and heat pump unit.
