2006 Hunter 45 Center Cockpit

This 2006 Hunter 45 Center Cockpit is a fiberglass cruising sailboat built for extended offshore passages and comfortable full-time living. The 45-foot hull, with its center cockpit design, prioritizes safety and interior volume while offering excellent single-handed sailing characteristics. A Yanmar diesel engine rated at 75 horsepower provides reliable propulsion, and the boat cruises at 8.4 knots under power.

The interior is organized around a bright salon with full galley, accommodating two cabins and two heads. The aft stateroom features a walkaround queen berth with private ensuite. The center cockpit layout includes lines led aft and self-tailing winches configured for short-handed operation. An in-mast furling mainsail, asymmetrical spinnaker with sock, and whisker pole complete the sail plan.

The yacht is equipped for self-sufficiency at anchor and during extended cruising. Power systems include five solar panels, a Victron Smart Charge Controller, four new AGM 4D batteries (200Ah each), and a Freedom Marine 25 Xantrex 2500-watt inverter/charger. A Seafari Escape 400 watermaker produces 17 gallons per hour of fresh water. Navigation electronics include an E80 chartplotter with GPS, E80 secondary display, 2kw radar antenna, and an ST8001 autopilot with remote. An Icom M402 VHF radio with remote helm microphone handles communications.

Recent upgrades and replacements include new standing rigging (2019), new running rigging (2019), new propeller (2024), serviced in-mast furling main (2021), new canvas (2023), rebuilt watermaker (2023), new batteries (2024), new through-hulls (2024), new PSS dripless shaft seal (2024), new cutlass bearing and shaft log (2024), and bottom paint (2024). Additional equipment includes a Rocna 25 anchor, dinghy davits, a 9-foot AB aluminum hard bottom dinghy with electric motor, two air-conditioning/heater units, two LPG tanks with Magma grill, and a custom dodger/bimini with cockpit enclosure.
