2006 Island Packet 370

This 2006 Island Packet 370 is a 37-foot fiberglass cruising sailboat powered by a 55 horsepower Yanmar diesel engine. The boat has been extensively upgraded and refitted during 2025, with work completed by a rigger at Shelter Island Point Loma. New standing rigging, running rigging, and sails have been installed, including a main sail with a spare, 140% head sail, and oversized stay sail.

The boat is outfitted for offshore blue water cruising with substantial equipment additions. Power systems include two 220-amp solar panels with Victron Energy smartsolar MPPT monitoring, a wind turbine on a 10-foot stainless steel pole, and diesel heating. Navigation features a Garmin 8610 chartplotter and EPIRB. Safety gear includes a Superior 4-man life raft, three ABC dry fire extinguishers, and fire and carbon monoxide monitors.

The accommodations consist of two cabins and one head. The boat carries a 10-foot hard bottom dinghy with a 6 horsepower Tohatsu outboard motor, supported by a 4-to-1 hoist mounted on the wind turbine pole. Additional cruising provisions include dual anchors (Mantus 55 kilo and Fortress 20 lb), two 10-gallon propane tanks, diesel containers, LED lighting throughout the salon, and a Hydrovane wind vane steering system.

Maintenance items completed in 2025 include replacement of the cutless bearing. The boat carries extensive spare parts for extended cruising: oil and fuel filters, impellers, Racor filters, new oil, zinc anodes, stuffing box tools, and running hardware. Cockpit cushions and hatch covers round out the equipment list.
