The 2006 Island Packet 440 is a 45-foot cruising sailboat designed by Bob Johnson, built on a fiberglass hull with a 75-horsepower Yanmar diesel engine. The yacht features an aft cockpit with a sugar-scoop transom, protected by a bimini and dodger. Stainless steel davits and solar panels are mounted above. She carries a brand-new staysail and genoa (2024), a recently inspected mainsail with new clew cover, and standing and running rigging in excellent condition. The running rigging was replaced in 2022, and a spotless standing rigging inspection by Mack Sails from 2022 is available. Grade 316L stainless chainplates are fitted throughout.
Below deck, the yacht sleeps six across two cabins and two heads. The forward stateroom contains a double bed to starboard and a settee to port with storage. The aft stateroom offers port access to a spacious head with separate shower, while the forward head sits in the bow with its own separate shower. The galley to starboard features counter space, a Force 10 stove, and a Frigoboat fridge-freezer. The salon is open and centered with port and starboard settees; the table accommodates dining guests, converts to a double berth, or folds into the wall. A forward-facing chart table sits between the galley and settee with generous work space.
Recent maintenance includes bottom sanding and repainting with two coats of SeaHawk Colorkote in October 2025, a new Johnson Duramax cutlass bearing and PSS Pro shaft seal installed in October 2025, and new RG 213 coax cable on the mast in 2025. Additional upgrades include a Shakespeare antenna, Davis wind indicator, and Alpine Bluetooth stereo with remote. The wood interior remains bright and well-maintained throughout.
