The 2006 Sea Ray 290 Amberjack is a 29-foot fiberglass sportfish designed for both offshore fishing and comfortable cruising. Twin factory remanufactured MerCruiser 5.7L engines produce 300 horsepower each and have logged approximately 100 hours of operation. The boat reaches a top speed of 35 knots and cruises comfortably at 24 knots. Bravo III dual outdrives and a Bennett auto trim system support responsive handling and fuel efficiency across varied water conditions.
The cabin layout includes a main stateroom with a forward berth and a single head with shower. The helm features a Garmin touchscreen GPS with Navionics charting, Fusion stereo system with wireless controls, and dual independent power steering. Topside, a custom aluminum hardtop with Sunbrella shade and full Eisenglass enclosure protect occupants, while removable outriggers and LED underwater transom lights serve fishing and entertainment. A 5-kilowatt Kohler generator supports onboard systems.
A comprehensive mechanical refresh completed in 2022 included new transom assemblies, bilge pumps and switches, freshwater and gray water systems, a new Sea Fire fire suppression system, and complete electrical upgrades throughout. The generator was reconditioned to 703 hours. Additional recent work encompassed new batteries and charger, a new microwave and mounted television, recovered forward mattress, and refinished bilge surfaces. The swim platform and engine cover were reconditioned and helm seating bolster was recovered.
The boat was dry-stored its entire life with no bottom paint applied, and remains locally kept in Florida.
