This 2007 Armstrong Marine 36 catamaran is a commercial-grade aluminum platform built for serious offshore work and Alaska cruising. Constructed from marine-grade 5086 aluminum with welded hulls, heavy-duty framing, and full weather protection, the boat features a massive aft work deck, wide side decks, and a large cockpit suited to fishing or utility operations. The aluminum construction, reinforced throughout and finished with non-slip coatings, represents Armstrong Marine's reputation as one of the West Coast's most respected offshore aluminum builders.
Twin Cummins QSC 8.3L turbocharged diesels rated at 600 horsepower each drive the catamaran through Arneson ASD10 surface drives, delivering cruising speeds of 21–24 knots and a top speed around 38 knots. Twin Disc marine gears and hydraulic steering with troll valve capability support both speed and fishing applications. A 4-blade bronze propeller set handles standard operation, with spare VEEM surface props included. The 400-gallon fuel capacity and shallow-running capability of the surface drives extend range and versatility.
Accommodations sleep up to seven with a private queen stateroom to port, double berths in the starboard pilothouse and beneath the main helm, a convertible dinette, and a day bunk in the pilothouse. An enclosed head with shower, full galley with refrigeration and stainless fittings, and generous storage throughout provide genuine liveaboard comfort. Dual diesel furnaces with a dedicated 36-gallon heating oil tank supply forced-air heat, and LED lighting updates modernize the interior.
The boat is equipped with dual Furuno navigation stations—large displays at the main helm and a secondary 16" plotter aft—radar, GPS, autopilot, and VHF systems. Dual steering stations enable operation from either position. A Westerbeke 4.2KW generator, Xantrex inverter/charger, isolation transformer, and robust battery bank support extended operations. Hydraulic systems throughout include a rebuilt pot hauler, anchor handling winch, and hydraulic crane with increased lifting capacity. Safety gear includes bilge pumps, fire extinguishers, engine alarms, CO and smoke detectors, survival suits, and an EPIRB.
