This 2007 Cabo 45 Express is a 45-foot diesel sportfish powered by twin MAN common rail engines producing 2200 horsepower and delivering a 34-knot cruise speed. The fiberglass hull underwent a complete professional repaint in Awlcraft 2000, with the starboard engine rebuilt with a new block and approximately 330 hours of operation. Substantial mechanical and systems work was completed in 2022, including a port engine tune-up and valve service, new trim tabs and actuators, replacement dripless prop shaft seals with alignments and balancing, and a new independent hydraulic steering ram.
The boat's electrical and mechanical systems were upgraded comprehensively. A 16 kW Kohler generator was installed with supporting infrastructure upgrades, and a new battery charging and conditioning system was added throughout. Two independent Webasto helm AC units provide 40,000 BTU total capacity, while soundproofing was installed above the engine room. Fresh plumbing includes new pumps and lines for the livewell, holding tanks, fuel fill, and cockpit washdown systems, along with larger strainers supporting the AC equipment.
Navigation and entertainment systems were fully updated with Furuno electronics including dual DFF3D fishfinders, 19-inch TZTouch3 displays, DRS4D-NXT radar, autopilot, Maretron digital monitoring, and an engine room camera linked to the displays. A Vesper VHF/AIS system, SCX20 satellite compass, and Starlink internet were also installed. Audio equipment includes a Fusion Apollo stereo with JL Audio speakers and a custom 12-inch subwoofer.
Deck and structural updates include new stainless steel rub rail, recessed LED navigation lights, blue and white underwater transom lights, new port bow hatches, polished fuel tanks, new windlass foot switches, and new outriggers. Interior work encompassed custom mattresses, LED lighting upgrades, new CO detectors, and a refreshed galley with updated sink hardware and flat-screen television. All systems have documentation and project receipts available.
