This 60-foot catamaran was designed by Kurt Hughes and built in Thailand under the supervision of UK naval architect Paul Shannon. The hull and superstructure are vacuum-bagged composite using West System epoxy, with teak interior floors and cabin panels. Built to EC-RDC standards and CE certified, the boat features a 24-meter aluminum mast by Matrix Mast of New Zealand with swept-back spreaders and 16mm and 12mm shrouds anchored to 316 stainless steel chain plates embedded in solid fiberglass. The two 30-foot hulls each carry fuel capacity of 540 liters and water tanks with 1,700-liter capacity. All main cabins and saloon have headroom of at least 2.25 meters.
Accommodation includes two double cabins, one queen cabin that converts to two singles, one king cabin, and two single crew cabins, all with ensuite heads. There are four heads total with showers: three electric toilets and one manual. Two saloon settees convert to double beds. The galley has gas and electric hobs with oven connections, and the boat is equipped with a water maker producing 92 liters per hour, washing machine, refrigerator, and freezer. Air conditioning runs throughout the four main cabins and saloon.
Power comes from two Volvo Penta D2-75 diesel turbo engines fitted in May 2022, along with new engine control motherboards, hydraulic steering tubes, and cylinders. Two Onan diesel generators provide auxiliary power, one reconditioned in 2022. Navigation includes Ray Marine 12-inch internal and 8-inch external displays, wind finder, autopilot, depth sounder, fish finder, and radar. Five Antal electric winches manage the sails—two for genoa sheets, two for main sheets, one for halyards and reef lines—all controlled from the cockpit. A single-line reefing system allows sail adjustment from the helm. Sails comprise a fully battened main, furling genoa, high-cut Yankee, gennaker, and storm jib.
The boat includes twin remote-controlled thrusters, twin helm stations, and comprehensive safety equipment: two 6-person life rafts, eight fire extinguishers, 110 meters of 10mm anchor chain, and three anchors. Additional gear encompasses a dinghy with two Yamaha 15-horsepower outboards (one new in August 2022), diving equipment, fishing rods, spare engine parts, tools, and extensive provisioning. Cruising speed is 9 knots.
