2007 Lagoon 500

This 2007 Lagoon 500 is a 52-foot fiberglass catamaran built for extended cruising and diving operations. The boat has undergone substantial mechanical and electrical upgrades over recent years, including a new Yanmar 4JH57 diesel engine with approximately 50 hours of service, upgraded Yammer SD-60 saildrives, and a professionally engineered transom extension that increases overall length and improves functionality. The dual 110 hp Yanmar engines deliver a cruising speed of 7.5 knots.

The electrical system centers on a 2,100Ah lithium battery bank paired with roughly 2.5kW of solar generation and three Victron inverter-chargers. An 8kW Northern Lights generator provides backup power. This setup supports multiple air-conditioning units, refrigeration systems, and onboard equipment with minimal generator runtime, offering energy independence well-suited to extended voyages.

The layout accommodates five cabins and four heads, with a custom oversized flybridge bimini offering shade for multiple adults. The extended transom features enlarged sugar scoops improving dinghy access and water entry, while a custom dive ladder and onboard compressor support diving operations. Additional systems include extensive refrigeration and ice-making capacity, organized scuba gear storage, and thoughtful upgrades throughout interior and exterior spaces.

The catamaran's 28-foot beam, combined with the transom extension and interior modifications, creates a capable platform for offshore cruising, diving expeditions, or charter operations. Recent service has included attention to the rigging, air conditioning, and propulsion systems.
