The Maxi 1300 is a 42-foot performance cruiser built in 2007 by Maxi and designed by Pelle Pettersson. The fiberglass hull spans 12.5 feet at the beam and is powered by a single 54 hp diesel engine. The boat was owned and sailed by the designer for its first 15 years, reflecting the care of someone intimately familiar with the design.
The deck and cockpit are engineered for responsive sailing and safety. Dual steering wheels and strategically positioned winches allow solo operation, while five storage compartments keep the cockpit organized. Electric winches for the genoa and mainsail operate from the helmsman's station, leaving guests undisturbed during sail management. An electric Furlex system handles the self-tacking jib.
Below deck, the interior accommodates three cabins and two heads, finished in refined Scandinavian style with traditional craftsmanship. Materials and components throughout reflect careful specification, and the boat's structure incorporates technical solutions designed for crew safety and durability. The boat is equipped for both cruising and performance sailing.
