2008 Back Cove 33

The 2008 Back Cove 33 is a 33-foot downeast cruiser built on a vacuum-bagged, PVC-cored fiberglass hull with a reverse transom and shallow prop pocket. Powered by a single Volvo Penta diesel engine producing 435 horsepower, the boat delivers a cruising speed of 24 knots and a maximum speed of 31 knots. Bow and stern thrusters are standard equipment. The hull has been polished and waxed.

Below deck, the yacht features a spacious vee-berth forward and a convertible L-settee in the salon, accompanied by a beautifully inlaid table. The head includes a separate stall shower. The helm deck is bright and airy, with overhead hatches, opening side windows, and a center-opening windshield. A leather-covered Stidd helm chair provides the primary seating for helm operations. Forward of the helm, a dinette seats four, while a double mate's seat serves as an additional navigational perch. The galley stretches aft of the helm seat to starboard. In the cockpit, a large bench seat offers comfortable seating underway or at anchor.

Engine access is a notable feature, with the helm deck and port-side dinette raising to expose the mechanical systems. The cabin layout exemplifies the Maine builder's traditional craftsmanship throughout.
