This 2008 Diesel Duck Classic 44 is a steel-hulled expedition trawler designed by George Buehler for extended cruising in remote waters. The full-displacement hull and single 180-horsepower Cummins 6BT5.9 diesel engine deliver a range exceeding 1,300 nautical miles at 7.5 knots, with further range achievable at reduced speeds or with sail assist. The engine has logged only 1,100 hours. The beam of 14.5 feet provides a stable platform across open water.

The boat accommodates eight berths across multiple cabins. The master stateroom features a pedestal queen berth. A separate guest stateroom serves dual purpose as an office space. The wheelhouse is substantial in scale, and an aft deck—covered and configured for outdoor dining—includes its own helm station. The galley and saloon are well-appointed, and a compact workshop occupies part of the engine room.

Power generation and self-sufficiency systems include a 7.1-kilowatt Mase generator, an Open Ocean watermaker, solar arrays, and a wind generator. Bow and stern thrusters enhance maneuverability. The yacht carries two tenders, including a custom welded aluminum double-hulled workboat. Navigation electronics are comprehensive. The steel construction was completed in Quebec with final outfitting overseen by knowledgeable owners.
