2008 Fountaine Pajot Salina 48

The 2008 Fountaine Pajot Salina 48 is a 47-foot sailing catamaran built from fiberglass, offering the beam and stability characteristic of the design. Powered by twin Yanmar engines of 55 horsepower each—the port engine showing 983 hours and the starboard at 986 hours—the yacht carries dual Flexofold folding propellers. A 7-kilowatt generator with 232 hours of runtime and an AquaBase watermaker producing 180 liters per hour support extended cruising.

The sail plan includes a fully battened mainsail on ball-bearing cars, a genoa on furler, and a gennaker on furler, all managed by an electric windlass and multiple Harken winches—both electric and manual helm winches, a stern winch for the gennaker, and an electric tender davit winch. Navigation is handled by Furuno instruments for log, echo sounder, anemometer, wind vane, GPS, and autopilot, complemented by a Raymarine Dragonfly 7 Pro chartplotter with integrated echo sounder and bronze transducer. VHF radio and entertainment systems round out the electronics.

Accommodations feature a 220-volt electrical system with cabin outlets, hot-water boilers, and a central hydronic heating system fed by six solar panels. The galley includes gas stove, oven, and microwave; refrigeration is provided by 12-volt fridge and freezer units. A washing machine with integral dryer, four toilets including one electric unit, and a single holding tank complete the onboard systems. The cockpit and helm areas feature Flexiteek decking, comprehensive sun awnings both fixed and removable, new black trampoline, and cockpit cushioning. A 3.1-meter tender with 9.9-horsepower outboard and liferaft are included.
