2004 Catana 471

The Catana 471 is a 2004 composite catamaran, 47 feet in length with a 25-foot beam. Built during a generation recognized for solid construction and interior finish, the boat has been substantially renewed since 2018, with major equipment upgrades completed in 2024 and 2025. It is powered by two 110 hp Volvo diesel engines with approximately 3,000 hours of use.

The layout includes three cabins and two heads. The owner's cabin is to starboard, with two further cabins to port fitted with mattresses replaced in 2020. The galley features a Force 10 stove, raw water inlet, and a 200-liter refrigerator plus 100-liter freezer. Water systems include a 520-liter freshwater tank, a Spectra desalinator producing 60 liters per hour, and 2026-updated black water tanks. Interior soft furnishings were replaced in 2026.

Sailing equipment includes a 2024 Doyle composite mainsail, 2024 jib, and 2015 spinnaker, with a Karver genoa storage system installed in 2024. The carbon mast and standing rigging date to 2018. Five Harken winches and one electric winch with remote control manage the deck. The rigid Bimini and peripheral canvas are from 2025 and 2024 respectively. Trampolines were replaced in 2024, and teak rubrails and balconies in 2025.

Navigation and systems are comprehensively equipped: Raymarine 2024 and 2026 integration, 2024 Hybrid Touch 12-inch chartplotter, 2020 radar, 2020 autopilot, 2024 AIS Class B, 2024 VHF, and Starlink connectivity. Power systems include 780 Ah lithium service batteries, two engine batteries, dual 100 Ah alternators installed in 2024, and 1,880 watts of solar panels (680 watts added in 2026). An electric windlass, 2024 generator, and hot water systems support extended cruising. Ground tackle comprises a 33 kg Bruce anchor with 110 meters of 12 mm chain and a 20 kg Delta backup. A 2024 Highfield tender with 30 hp outboard is included.
