2008 Grand Banks 59 Aleutian RP

The 2008 Grand Banks 59 Aleutian Raised Pilothouse is a fiberglass cruising yacht designed by Sparkman & Stephens, built to handle offshore conditions while delivering comfortable extended-range cruising. Twin Caterpillar C-18 diesel engines produce 1,000 horsepower each, enabling cruising speeds of 19–21 knots with top speeds near 25 knots, or efficient displacement cruising around 9–10 knots for range and fuel economy. The raised pilothouse design creates excellent visibility and commanding sight lines, with a logical flow connecting the helm, galley, and salon spaces.

The main salon is bright and spacious, with large windows on both sides and an L-shaped settee to port with storage below. A bar cabinet with ice maker and a pop-up television with Bose audio system occupy the starboard side. The galley sits forward at pilothouse level with a U-shaped layout, Sub-Zero refrigeration, freezer, dishwasher, and ample counter and storage space. The helm station is equipped with Garmin, Raymarine, and Big Bay navigation displays, Maretron monitoring, autopilot, and radar, with dual pilothouse doors providing deck access on both sides.

Three staterooms and three heads provide accommodations below deck. The full-beam primary suite amidships features a centerline queen berth, cedar-lined lockers, and a private ensuite head with separate shower. Forward, a VIP stateroom holds a queen berth with ensuite head, while a guest cabin offers twin berths and an ensuite head. Washer and dryer are installed in the guest accommodations area. The flybridge offers an upper helm station and extensive seating with panoramic views.

Naiad stabilizers and a bow thruster assist with sea-keeping and maneuvering. The yacht carries dual generators—21 kW and 13.5 kW Onan units—for electrical power. A Portuguese bridge with wide side decks and secure foredeck area support safe passage-making in challenging conditions. The yacht includes a 14-foot tender with a 40 horsepower Yamaha engine and two kayaks.
