The 2010 Mikelson 59 Nomad is a fiberglass pilothouse built for long-range fishing and cruising. Twin Cummins diesel engines rated at 1,200 horsepower provide power for a cruising speed of 12 knots and maximum speed of 5 knots. The 59-foot hull with an 18.5-foot beam delivers a stable platform for extended time at sea.
The interior accommodates three cabins and two heads, offering comfortable berths for cruising and overnight passages. The pilothouse design provides shelter and all-weather capability for the operator and guests.
Recent major work includes complete rebuilds of both main engines from the crankshafts, a new cooling system, new teak decking, resealed windows, new electronics, a new Bimini top, new windlass and anchor, and new ice-making equipment. Documentation and receipts are available for the work performed.
