This 2008 Gunboat 66 is one of only seven hulls built to the original Morrelli & Melvin design. The composite construction combines epoxy E-glass and carbon with Nomex, Corcell, and Kevlar reinforcement, resulting in a 66-foot catamaran with a beam of 21.7 feet and a displacement of 17,000 kg. The hull is rated CE Category A for offshore cruising. Daggerboards and retractable rudders allow the boat to operate in shallow water, with draft adjustable from 8 feet 6 inches down to 3.5 feet.
Performance equipment was substantially updated in 2023. The rig comprises a 2017 Southern Spars high-modulus rotating wing mast and carbon boom with K49 standing rigging and new Grand Prix fittings. The new Doyle sail package from 2023 was installed following a comprehensive overhaul and service in New Zealand. The boat achieves a cruising speed of 9 knots and a maximum speed of 11 knots.
The interior layout includes a panoramic salon with open-plan living spaces. Accommodation consists of five cabins and five heads, sleeping up to ten guests. The master suite features an en-suite bathroom, with three additional guest cabins and a crew cabin completing the layout.
The yacht is fitted with comprehensive modern systems: six Mastervolt MLI Ultra 24/5000 lithium-ion batteries installed in 2017, four sets of solar panels totaling fourteen 80-watt panels, a Mastervolt system with CZone controls, and two watermakers.
