The Hanse 470e is an epoxy-built cruising sailboat designed by Judel/Vrolijk, reinforced with a galvanised steel grid for durability and strength. At 46.6 feet long with a 14.7-foot beam, she carries a Yanmar 75 hp diesel engine and displaces approximately 12.2 tonnes. The hull is hand-laid fiberglass with vinylester outer laminates, teak-covered deck, and semi-balanced rudder. She achieves a cruising speed of 3.78 knots and sails under a complete new standing rigging with a brand new One Sails full-carbon mainsail installed in May 2025, plus self-tacking jib, storm sail, drifter, and spinnaker pole capability.
The interior provides three cabins and two heads. The forward owner's cabin features an island berth with extensive hanging lockers and an ensuite head with shower. The main saloon seats eight around a large table with an L-shaped sofa on the starboard side and bench seating. Two double aft cabins offer additional sleeping space. Navigation station includes a dedicated chart table with full socket provision. The galley features a Corian quartz countertop with integrated double sink, two-burner gimbal-mounted LPG stove with oven, and 130-litre refrigerator. All interior cabinetry is marine plywood with mahogany veneer in satin varnish.
Between 2024 and 2025, over €120,000 was invested in comprehensive upgrades. New rigging was installed throughout in 2024, including forestay and spreaders, with all running rigging replaced. The mainsail is new as of May 2025. The electrical system underwent full modernisation with a Victron Energy Management System, custom Solbian solar panels with MPPT controllers, 2kW inverter, and complete LED lighting upgrade. A watermaker with new filters and membranes was installed in 2025, along with a new water heater, serviced heads, replaced shower drain pumps, and all seacocks serviced. Fresh antifouling was applied in March 2026 with new anodes and polished folding propeller. The boat includes shore power, bow thruster, integrated B&G electronics with radar, VHF radio, Navtex, 360-degree camera system, and onboard Wi-Fi networking.
Deck equipment comprises electric anchor windlass with engineering-reinforced platform and new locking system, four cockpit winches (two 54 AST primary and two 46 AST secondary), hydraulically-controlled backstay, bimini and sprayhood, hot and cold shower, hinged swimming platform with stainless steel ladder, and back davits for dinghy hoisting. Safety includes a six-person liferaft, six rigid life jackets, emergency tiller, EPIRB, fire extinguishers, and fog horn. Fresh water capacity is approximately 380 litres; fuel tank holds roughly 250 litres.
